Pierre Luc-Gagnon Defends title in the X-Games Vert
The legends of skate vert put on quite a show for the finals, battling it out between continual rivalries through big spins, tweaked grabs, and a whole lotta air.
Pierre Luc-Gagnon was able to defend his X-Games Gold, holding off the skating of the ever persistant Bucky Lasek and air legend Andy Macdonald, bringing him in to a tie with Bucky for the most X-Games vert Gold Medals. Lasek had his chance to take the lead in the finals when Pierre went down in 2 of his runs, but the ever resilient Pierre rose to the challenge to make up for his slip-ups. Pierre decided to throw down multiple 720s and nollie flips, boosting him back in to the lead where he would stay for the remainder of the heated competition.

Andy MacDonald pulling 3rd in the X-Games Vert
Andy MacDonald only had 4 runs in the finals opposed to everyone elses 5 due to the new 12 minute jam session, and yet he still managed to take 3rd in the event, taking his own personal total medal count to 18. All in all, the skating in this years X-Games was insane and if you weren’t there then you seriously missed out.
So that’s why we took some sick pictures for you to check out …and make you feel even more jealous. Because the Epicology team was again, of course, front and center for one epic throwdown. Enjoy.
