Epicology was fortunate enough (not to mention totally stoked) to head up to Hermosa Beach right after the end of the US Open of Surf on Sunday to check out the hugely popular reggae band hailing from Santa Barbara - Rebelution - playing a free show. Yeah that’s right. You totally missed out.
If you’ve never heard these guys before…you really need to.
People as far as you could see just gettin down to a sick, free show. Rebelution killed it, playin a mix of their older jams as well as stuff from their new album. We even got a chance to slide gbackstage and kick it for a bit watching them rock out on stage…epic right?
Rebelution’s set ended with – very appropriately – Green to Black…and a strange haze filled the air amongst the crowd…a low cloud perhaps? Too coincidental. If you’ve been to a Rebelution show, you know how these things get.
